Date: Wednesday 5th February 2020

Kick off: 15:30

Venue: USW Sport Park, Treforest

WITH the season drawing to a close in early March, USW Women’s 1st will be looking to secure their first win of the campaign.

There are three games to play in the remaining domestic season for USW 1sts, and they will no doubt be yearning for three wins. The visitors today are Cardiff University 3rds, who are still in competition for the league title, so both teams have a lot to play for.

Royal Agricultural Women’s 1st are only 3 points out of reach for USW, so the likelihood of a higher placed finish is looking realistic for the Treforest-based outfit.

USW fell short in the reverse fixture, losing 6-1 back in October, but with the home advantage on their side this time, they will be hoping to register their first three points of the season with a win.

The only worrying factor for the home side is that in recent times they have enjoyed more goal-scoring success away from home, when compared to playing on familiar Treforest turf, scoring just three at the Sport Park this season.

Cardiff University 3rds however, have been enjoying quite the season, securing 42 goals across league and cup competitions this year.

However, with so much to play for in this fixture, the match up will be hardly fought, and is not one to be missed.
