Swansea City boss Vitor Matos hailed his players after their hard-fought victory against Bristol City.
The game was settled by a second half-goal from striker Zan Vipotnik, but the Portuguese manager singled out his defenders for rare praise.
“The back four were unbelievable,” he said.
“It’s not just about individuals, it’s about how they control the space and the runs in behind.
“When you have a front three who can press and a back four who can control the space, you already have 50% of the job done.
“The concentration was excellent. The duels, the mindset – it was outstanding.
“In these kinds of games, it’s important that you finish your situations.
“We could have scored two more but taking that moment was massive for us.”
The head coach was also delighted with Jay Fulton’s performance.
“For me it was not a surprise – but it was another statement from him,” he added.
“He’s so important for us, an unbelievable character”.
“I’m just happy he’s with us.”
