EVERYONE loves a final. It doesn’t matter whether we’re talking Champions League football or tiddlywinks.
If there is a winner at the end of it, someone, somewhere will be watching and supporting.
Today USW Men’s 1st football side make the journey to Nottingham for the final of the BUCS Championship. They face Hartpury after beating local rivals Cardiff Metropolitan University in the last four.
Before that, USW faced Stirling University in a keenly-contested last eight tie on home soil. They needed extra time to secure the win, a goal from Clayton Green ending the Scottish side’s resistance.
A coach-load of supporters will make the journey from south Wales later to support the side and a team of Sports Journalism students and staff are also en route to cover the build up and report on the game.
Bryn Goodall is one of the students travelling with the team.
