UNIVERSITY of South Wales edged past local rivals Cardiff Metropolitan University with a 3-2 victory to seal a place in the BUCS National final.
Liam Edwards, captain Kane Owen and Clayton Green were all on target for the hosts as they raced into a 3-0 lead at the half-time interval.
Matt Neil and Gwion Howell hit back for the Archers in the second-half but Christian Edwards’ men were unable to stage a late comeback.
