Hat-trick hero Victor Angaye stole the show as USW men’s 2nds crushed Cardiff and Vale College 10-2 at the Sport Park.

USW ran riot in an outstanding second half offensive display of what was a one-sided affair in which they showed their clinical edge.

Angaye found the net in the first minute and doubled his tally in the 26th minute with a scrappy goal from a long throw.

CAVC manged to claw one back in the 35th minute, however Angaye completed his hat-trick five minutes later, making it 3-1 to USW going into half-time.

USW showed a poor final product at times, despite the scoreline, with many chances going to waste that would have seen them go in at the interval further ahead.

USW soon took control of the second half when Woody Scott converted a penalty to make it 4-2 in the 60th minute – just after CAVC had claimed their second goal with a screamer.

Scott quickly doubled his tally two minutes later with a chip over the ‘keeper.

An own goal saw the margin increase to 6-2 in the 65th minute and then in the 68th minute Saif Ratual converted USW’s second penalty of the game.

Fin Peacock made an appearance after an extended amount of time out injured and managed to get on the score-sheet with a volley which made it 8-2.

USW were in a very comfortable position and furthered their lead a minute later through George Walkins before Ratual grabbed his second  to make it 10-2 with a skilful run that saw him pass multiple defenders before finding the net.

Angaye’s hat-trick and a dominant defensive display by Max Matthews were the stand-out contributions for USW.
