USW Women’s 1st team assistant coach Shubham Trivedi conceded there was a gulf in class between her team and Exeter after their 5-0 defeat at the Sport Park.

USW were comprehensively beaten by a very organised and talented visiting side.

“When we started, we were looking OK but it was hard after we conceded to them,” he said.

“There were moments where we lost some momentum and we were punished very quickly as they scored back-to-back.”

“Overall, I think coming up against a team that trains twice a week was a big challenge for us.”

Trivedi believes there were positives for USW to take from the defeat.

“The way we came out and the way we started this game was good,” he said.

“We need to up our game when we go against Bath Spa next week.

“The first 25 minutes of this game showed lots of good play, according to plan.”
