Cardiff Devils’ coach Pete Russell praised his “selfless” players after their 6-1 thrashing of Glasgow Clan.
It was a 28th win of the season for the Devils, who were dominant for most of the encounter.
Russell thought his team were full value for the result and suggested Clan’s netminder, Landon Bow prevented the damage being even worse for the visitors.
He said: “I thought it was good. I thought we competed well, thought we got into the net and as the game went on, we moved to puck even better.
“We worked pretty good defensively as well as Bow, he was good, but we did good to get around him.
“It was a real selfless performance. I thought we were solid, and played really solidly as well.”
Meanwhile, Clan’s coach Corey Neilson couldn’t fault how Cardiff played but was unhappy with his own team’s performance.
He said: “They were a very good team, dynamic and explosive offensively, we were not. I was disappointed with some of the guys
“I can’t say that Cardiff wasn’t good, they were good, they capitalise on everything, but I think we just made it too easy.
“They attacked our net, and instead of fronting pucks, we should have been knocking people down.
“We’ve got some strong bodies there, and our forwards never blocked anything.”
