USW 1sts netball coach Sophie Everett was left feeling positive after their 49–49 draw against University of the West of England (UWE) 1sts.
Despite being behind at certain times, they were also ahead in spells during a game which seesawed in enthralling fashion.
Although Everett played, when asked about her thoughts of the game, she spoke from a coach’s perspective.
She said: “That was definitely the strongest game of the season for the first time.
“I think we lost it towards the end communication wise, but it was the best game we’ve played.
Everett said how there are so many positives to take away from the game.
She added: “Being able to speak to each other and working in a unit since our last game has really helped.
“Our fitness was also really good.
“We were able to just play our game, instead of playing into theirs.”
