USW 5ths suffered a 4-0 defeat to an impressive Swansea 3rds inspired by star-man David Evans, who bagged a hat-trick.
Swansea started off brightly and it only took them two minutes to open the scoring.
USW keeper Laurence Dockerty pulled off a great save from a shot from outside the box, but Evans was quickest to react to put the visitors 1-0 up.
Swansea dominated the first 25 minutes with big chances being missed by Luke Burgess and Evans. Dockerty denied Evans his second with a brilliant save one-on-one.
USW defender Gbolohan Abiola found himself lucky when he was only booked for bringing down Joe Flannery, who found himself through on goal in the 36th minute.
The first USW chance came a minute before half-time as midfielder Harry Carter headed over from a free-kick delivered by Jack Sowerby.
Swansea extended their lead seconds before the break through Dylan Ottey-Lewis who beat Dockerty with a lovely finish from just inside the box.
The away side started the second half just how they finished the first – in impressive fashion.
The link-up play between Sam Price and danger-man Evans caused USW problems all afternoon, and when Price put the ball on a plate for Evans to get his second, the striker wastefully headed over from close range.
USW had their first shot on target in the 58th minute, with a fine free-kick from Gabriel Astin almost finding the back of the net.
USW felt their luck was running out when Carter hit the crossbar from close range with a stunning header from the resulting corner.
The hosts had gained a lot of momentum at this stage and a few minutes later David Nelson hit the woodwork from a few yards.
But Swansea put the game to bed with their third goal came in the 84th minute.
Price found space down the left and delivered a perfect cross to Evans who couldn’t miss from three yards.
Evans secured his hat-trick two minutes later with almost an identical goal to the third. Price beat his man down the left and whipped yet another great cross which fell to Evans who couldn’t miss.
After the victory, Swansea sit nine points clear ahead of USW in fourth.
