Kick off: 17:00pm

Venue: 3G, Hartpury University Sports Academy

LAST season’s league champions USW travel to this year’s run-away league leaders Hartpury, hoping to cause an upset in their penultimate game.

Lee Kendall’s men face a Hartpury side unbeaten so far this campaign, having amassed 22 points with two games still to play.

USW, who did the double in 2018-19, will be hoping to add to their own points tally after a memorable 4-3 victory against Swansea University 1st last week.

They produced a dogged display at home and will be hoping for more of the same today as, despite the title being sealed, that second spot is still very much up for grabs.

USW trail second placed Cardiff Metropolitan University 1st by four points with a game in hand on their east-Walian counterparts. Met are on 15 points after nine games played, USW 11 after eight.

Two wins, against Hartpury and Swansea University respectively, could open the door to a second place finish for Kendall’s side, providing Cardiff Met lose to Bath University away from home next week.

But it is still all to play for in the BUCS Men’s Premier South as Swansea on seven points and Exeter University on six, also have a game in hand. They could be breathing down the neck of USW as the season reaches its climax.

Today’s rearranged fixture came about due to a serious injury to a Hartpury player at USW Sport Park in November, forcing the game to be abandoned.

Hartpury’s Ioan Richards was the player affected and despite still being a while away from playing again, he is currently going through his rehabilitation process.

USW play their final fixture of the campaign away to Swansea University next Wednesday. Kick-off is at 16:30.
