USW Women’s 1st will look to continue their positive start in the league as they take on Solent Women’s 1st who are undefeated so far.
USW bounced back last week with a 6-2 victory over Bournemouth after a disappointing 1-4 loss the week prior to Hartbury.
Solent have played two games so far, beating Cardiff Met Women’s 2nd 1-0 and an impressive 5-4 victory over Hartbury.
New USW coach Fern Burrage found positives from her first game at the helm against Hartbury.
After the match she said: “Second half was very good, we increased the tempo, we were more aggressive in the tackle and we got ourselves a goal as part of that.”
Now on her third game in charge she will look to upset the odds against a difficult Solent side.
The last time these two sides met, USW ran out 3-0 victors. Will history repeat itself?
