WITHOUT a win in their last seven games, USW will be looking for a change in fortune as they take on Bristol’s UWE 1st in their final league game of the season.
The South Walian side are just a point above relegation in the Western 2B. In contrast, UWE are looking to solidify their league title victory and promotion to the Western A1.
Although UWE have all but numerically won the league, they will certainly be pushing to finish the season strong.
If USW are to lose then their fate for next season will be in the hands of others. Fellow league strugglers Swansea Men’s 2nd face second place Hartpury Men’s 2nd with the likely result being a Hartpury win.
Anything can happen in football but with USW and Swansea only winning one game apiece during this year’s league campaign, Swansea are favourites for the drop and USW are expected to remain in the Western 2B.
Again, in contrast to USW, the west England men have suffered just one defeat this season, whereas USW have won just one.
In what has been a successful campaign, UWE have racked up six wins in nine games, with one solo defeat the only real blemish on their resume.
